I got a suggestion/question from another member about a thread I have on the OYG being held outside of Baltimore this month. It got me to thinking about how people look to see what is happening on the forum.

So, the question is, do you:
~ Go straight to the PBS Cyber Campfire and just read that?
~ Go straight to the Membership Forum and just read that?
~ Use the "View active threads" feature to read what is new since your last visit?
~ Just check out whatever forums interest you?

Larry

I have the campfire saved as my bookmark. That way, whenever I open up the PBS site, I'm directed to the campfire. Then I navigate from there.

I check the Campfire, membership, regional, classifieds, and membership hunts every day. I usually look for new replies to ongoing threads, some days I will look at older threads. I try to respond and or start new threads when I think I have something to offer or as a congratulatory/thank you to ongoing threads.

I primarily use the campfire more so due to lack of time. When I have the time, I'll go into the membership forum, the classifieds, the regional forum, membership hunts.

I often do not take the time to sign on, but will stop by. Almost always use "View Active Topics" to view recent posts. Only go to specific categories while signed on to post replies.

I really just go on the cyber campfire section, because I don't know the passwords for the others...

Austin, the only other general membership forum that requires a password is the Membership Forum and the PBS Classified Ads. The others, like the regional forums and membership hunts do not have passwords.

You can get the password from Kevin Dice or Steve Hohensee.

Me too. I've only gone to the campfire because I thought the other boards required passwords. I'll have to do some perusing.

I check the Campfire first and sometimes the Classifieds. I don't have a password for the membership area so I don't know if I'm allowed in there.

I have the "View Active Topics" saved in my bookmarks. When I click to go to the PBS forums it brings up every topic that has been discussed since the last time I visited. This brings up everything but the password protected forums of Membership and Classifieds. I check the Membership forum about 10% of the time and the classifieds .1% of the times I come in here.

"View Active Topics" is a very efficient tool.
