My wife, Karen purchased the PBS Youth Hunt bow at the banquet in Cincinnati last spring. I just noticed it in one of my bow racks and now I'm wondering if I was supposed to be using it or just holding it to re-donate at the St. Augustine PBS banquet next spring?
Also, it has signatures on it of the youth hunt participants from the 2013 hunt. Should I or Karen sign it before re-donating it? I don't want to decrease its value, HA!

Kevin, I doubt there is an SOP on the topic.

I'd say that you own it and can do as you please. I'd hunt with it, sign it and then donate it back in St. Augustine. But that's just me.

agree...if need or want to use it go ahead....if would prefer to re-donate next year again for the cause that is good too. I dont think there is a wrong answer to be honest.

I can answer you question Kevin . I'm the one that started the bow.
This is what I planned on doing with it.
I wanted to raise money for the youth hunts.
I would us this bow that I got at the PBS banquet in SLC. In 2006. At every youth hunt the kids would have a shoot off for something that they had made sign it,then each of them would take the bow out hunting , stump shooting etc , then write a artical for the magazine then send the bow back to me I would get more arrows made up then send it to the next youth hunt, then every two years , action it of , the money would go to the youth hunt , then the bow would come back to me and I would send it to the next hunt , I was looking at a way to get money for youth hunts and maybe get the kids to write a article ,

Craig, and everyone else, thanks for the information! The bow is now packed and headed to Texas in the morning. It will be re-donated at the next PBS banquet. OR, it could be sent to the next PBS Youth Hunt, wherever/whenever that may be. Maybe someone on Council could decide one way or the other? I know Karen "bought" the bow, but like the bow, the money is simply a donation so that's not an issue for us. :D
