Terry Receveur and I are looking for up to 3 individuals to join us on our 2015 Ontario fishing trip (walleye and northern pike). This is a fly-in trip out of Red Lake, Ontario, through Viking Island and Outposts (http://www.vikingoutpost.com). Terry has done this trip several times, and I once. The fishing is fantastic and the price is unbeatable. We have reserved Rheaume Lake (see website), which is 105 miles north of Red Lake. Dates we have reserved are June 18-25. Fly into Winnipeg and drive a rental van to Red Lake on the 17th; return to Red Lake and Winnipeg on the 25th, fly home on the 26th or 27th. This is a great trip for a kid, and my son Connor (age 8) will be joining us this year (kids are also 1/3 off the adult price) . If you are interested and/or want to talk details, please send Terry or me a PM.

It is a really fun and relaxing trip. You will catch a lot of fish and some really nice ones. You also get to see some great wildlife.

Great idea. There are lots of fun stuff we can do as PBS members and not all involve a bow and arrow.

I sent in an article for the PBS publication just a couple days ago about this very statement.

My thoughts are on diversifying the reading and possibly getting others sparked to write too.

You guys are breaking my heart,

I love big pike and walleye fishing. I grew up with summer vacations to Minnesota lakes and My family and I also lived in Wisconsin for a while where Muskies got my attention. I also have a love of aircraft, having spent a majority of my working career as an aircraft technician, with a bit of pilot time.

In a couple years I will have vacation time accrual rate more favorable for multiple trips in a year. Right now I'm strapped for vacation time if I decide to chase elk this fall.

I will be looking fwd. to seeing some pictures of this trip in addition to the great ones already posted.

I've been to the Boundary Waters out of Ely, MN 12+ times along with several Canadian fishing trips while growing up. It sounds like a great time trip. But with summer baseball, my weekends will be limited. Have fun!

Sounds like a lot of fun but not in the cards for me this spring as I am heading to Texas for the PBS hunt and that is taking up my vacation time for the summer. Hope you all have a great time. I am lucky though in that I can fish for both species right here where I live in the Yooper.

Jeff and Terry, this is a great idea and invitation. Thank you for the offer, but I I will be on my first Canadian fly-in fishing trip this August. I decided I didn't want to go moose hunting this year without seeing the area first, so I talked my wife and two boys into joining me for a week at the lake I will be hunting moose, come the end of September.

Here is the best part...I sold my wife on how great it is going to be and she took it hook, line and sinker. I plan on telling here there is no electricity or plumbing as soon as the plane takes off to head back without us. If I told her now, she would instantly decline. Besides, her mind is on being attacked by bears, so I figure it best not to cloud her judgment with to many thoughts. :-) If anything, it will make for a great story. Good thing she doesn't visit this site. LOL

Good luck, and once again, thank you for extending the offer to us.
