Well I go in Thursday (12th) morning to get a ICD implant, to help my heart, or so they say.
I'll be laid up for about two months. No bow, and got some good tournaments coming up. Guess I'll just have to go and be the cook and camp hostess!
They tell me its no Biggie. Just have a one night stay in the Horse-pitil. Get x-rayed the next morning and go home.
Said I couldn't drive for a month. Cause someone might run into me and I'd use my arm to brace. What about if I'm a passenger? Don't guess I'll use my arm then either.
Ought to be fun........maybe they'll let me wear my Skunk Hat to surgery.
Take care out there. Will post how it goes.

Good luck Johnny. You've faced much worse in the past and came out smiling. We're looking forward to the update.

Best wishes. It may lay you up for a little but in the long run will be worth it.

Well I made it through another procedure on my heart!
The Hospital Staff and Dr. were great. They all joked with me and had a good sense of humor.
Dr. Roboichaux and his crew are the BEST! When they wheeled me itno the OR, I was greeted, like an old friend. The first thing I heard was...."Michele R. called each one of us this morning, and said to get out our oldest and rustiest tools to work on you!" Michele is a very dear friend, and one of our horse clients. In fact she's "Wifey #3" So she had lined them out. When Dr. R. came in that morning, early, he told me she had called and told him the same thing. (she's his main nurse, and in charge of the ICDs and Pacemaker patients) How cool is that?
Can't drive for a month, can't shoot my bow for 2 - 3 months. Can't lift anything for the first month and very little for the second. I guess I can do this! I know I can do this!
Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. I can not begin to tell ya'll how much that means.
Now I've just got to figure on how I'm going to get to the shoots for the next couple months. At least I can still cook.
Thanks, Johnny and Kuri

I have no first hand experience, but I've heard that is questionable. LOL.

Nice to hear it went well.

Mike Vines, if you've got to ask "What's in the cook pot?", you aint hungry!!!!
I can tell you've never had my Choctaw Stew and fried cornbread!
You're still welcome at my camp, anyway.
