I'm sure a lot of PBS members will be interested in this book. I don't want to give anything away here, but if you like old-school hunting adventures told in the colorful and emotion-evoking style of Monty, you'll enjoy this one. Consider that it has no set of pages without a color glossy, and many are full page images. It's a big book, excellent build and worth every dollar it costs. I believe Monty and Annie will have a website up and running very shortly, so keep watching for contact and order information.

By the way, 100 limited edition, numbered leather-bound books were made. Some of these are sold, but I'm sure some remain available. KD

Kevin, I've been keeping up with Monty from time to time and have been anxiously awaiting this book. I'm drooling on my computer right now, can't wait!!!

I have been checking websites including ours since December. I was extremly disappointed that I could not make Kalamazoo this weekend. Not being able to get my hands on Monty's book added to my frustration. One of the greatest storytellers and bowhunters of our time.

Weather was horrible in Kzoo today, but that allowed me to visit with Monty a little and get both my regular and LE books paid for. What a great ambassador for the PBS and bowhunting. I am going to soak in every word and the extra copy is to give to my son next month on his 16th birthday. I hope it adds more fuel to his fire.

Monty is going to be back in Michigan next month at the Michigan Traditional Bowhunters Annual Banquet as the guest speaker.

Saturday February 21st, 2015
Doors open at 5:00pm

Location
English Hills Country Club
1200 Four Mile Rd.
Walker, MI 49544

Grand Rapids is close to our OH/IN/WI and even Iowa and Minnesota members and has a big airport if anyone far away wants to get away for a weekend. Monty is a fantastic speaker...at Kzoo, after 45 minutes he realiEd he was only 5 slides into his presentation!

So for those who won't be in Michigan, how do I go about ordering a book?

Joe and others:

I know for certain that Monty is making his way south but the snowfall certainly slowed or delayed his travel from Kalamazoo. I dropped him a message on his cell phone but am sure he won't call me until later this week. The things I know for sure is that they accept cash, personal checks, money orders and plastic. I don't know what telephone number they're using for orders, so will find out and let you know. The standard edition is $65 and the leather is $100. I don't know if that covers shipping, BUT I suppose a guy could always drop a check or mo in the mail and get on the list faster. Knowing Monty and Annie, I would probably send them a signed check and let them fill in the numbers...but that's me.

Kevin is right 'on the money'. The book is superb and Kevin and Bryan are a big part of it. Good for you guys.
I received my book from Annie before they left for Kalamazoo. Again Kevin is correct with the address. The $65 covered the cost of the book and shipping. I'm sure the $100 for the limited edition will also.
Photographs in the book are truly impressive and tells alot about Monty's bowhunting career.
You need this one in your collection.

He went all out on this book. I saw that he had a color dust jacket on the book, and was kind of worried because I tend to rip them up pretty good on other books I've had. But, I was pleasantly surprised to see a glossy full color hard cover underneath. The detail is incredible throughout, but the stories are even better. Well done Monty.

I spoke with Monty as he traveled through Tennessee on his way home, and here's the official update:

A website has been constructed to sell the book. www.montybrowningbook.com is not yet live, but should be running within 48 hours. Keep checking. You can use PayPal at the website.

You can email your request to BrowningAnnie@bellsouth.net

You can send payment by US mail to the Brownings as shown in my previous post. The cost is $65 for the standard book and $100 for the limited/leather edition...shipping is covered in those prices. Be sure you provide them a safe shipping address when you order.

Not sure Ron. Good chance that email is where PP$ is directed, but they did not say. You could always try sending a token amount of cents to that email on PP and see what happens. If it goes through...game on to buy a book.

Forgot to mention that approximately 250 books went out at Kalamazoo!

I was looking forward to Monty's seminar at Kalamazoo but forgot to change my watch to an hour ahead. Didn't realize it was going on until I saw the crowd walking out. On the bright side he will be the guest speaker in March at the United Bowhunters of Illinois.

Anyone who wants to get a book ordered ahead of the masses can email their request to: browningannie@bellsouth.net

For those interested in leather-bound limited edition, they have sold over 60 of the 100 printed. There are plenty of standard editions available at $65.

The check will be in tomorrow's mail. With missing out on the hog hunt, I've been ordering trapping supplies and might as well order Monty's book while the checkbook is open. He is one of the finest gentlemen to be a part of our fraternity.

The leather-bound limited edition books are going quickly. I wouldn't wait too long if you have interest in having this fantastic piece of bowhunting history.

Mine should be on the way also. I was in communication with Annie the first day Kev posted this thread. Looking forward to this one.
