Alright, pictures of my latest hunt on Stewart Island. No animals were harmed during this hunt, well ok one did. I learned a lot and will adjust tactics to suit next time.

We run into a HEAP of sharks that were swimming around our inflatable boat. Caught two of them, smacked two with the oars of the boat to stop them biting the boat. Was great fun, I do have a photo of one of the sharks but it's not a "polished" photo. Forgot the camera when the sharks turned up...... My bad. Oh yea I stalked a NZ Fur Seal by accident, that was funny.
Anyway any questions "get after it"
Cheers
MOOSE

Kevin, I was hunting Whitetails..... Not nearly as big as the photos I seen on you're farm.
Abundant....... The hunting blocks are drawn, first come first serve. The block I was on is booked solid for 6 months. Another hunting party left the day before we arrived and another party went in the day we left. I did ALOT of walking to find fresh sign. Most of the sign I found was in very steep areas! Which is saying something.
They are there and I was out classed by them at every turn. Compared to last year when I seen mutipule animals and arrowed one. The bush was very dry! I hunted in bare feet a lot this hunt to try and get the upper hand. Anyway I learnt a lot this year and I have a new bag of tricks that I will use when I head down there again next year.
P.S
I am KICKING! Myself for not taking my bowfishing kit with me! I would of had my first shark by bow! Argh.

Richard...You must always be prepared. When you're on a hunting adventure that involves the ocean, bring your bow fishing stuff NEXT TIME!!!

I'll say it again, you all have a beautiful County. That sure is some thick vegetation you have to hunt thru. Reminds me of hunting down in the southern States.

Where is your Blue head thing for safety so you don't end up like that dude last year. We wanna keep you around for a LOT more years.

Thank you for letting us in on your hunt. Start making plans right now to come to St Augustine, Florida in 2016, it'll be MUCH better (read that as different) than Oahu, HI AND you will be surrounded by family.

Looks like fun stalking in the ferns. Does look pretty dry though. Thanks for the post and the pics.
