I received my PBS magazine yesterday (after most everybody else once again) ;)

I really enjoyed this issue. It looked great, was laid out great and the content was great.

I read it cover to cover sans two articles which I will read today. I haven't read this, or any other magazine cover to cover in a long while.

I enjoyed the profiles, the council and committee reports and I really think the thank you to all of the 2014 contributors was a nice, classy touch. (Not just because my name was included)

I would also like to see a yearly accounting of new Regulars and members that have passed away over the years. Just sort of a way to sum up where we are going and where we have been, if that makes sense.

Keep up the good work guys--

One place we have been doing this is in the Biennial Gathering program. (I suspect it is common for elder members to eventually drop membership before passing on so a list may not be reflective of members and their vigor years)

I got mine yesterday. At the risk of seeming overly critical, while I know putting together a quality magazine is a heap of work, I didn't feel the cover was quite of the quality I've come to anticipate. Overlayed trail cam photos? I know I'm probably the odd man out nowadays(story of my life :^), but trail camera images seem impersonal, utilitarian, and I generally just can't get by them quick enough... and for the cover of our quartely magazine? Nothing major, I guess it was just a bit of a let down. The two page spread of trail camera pictures farther back in the issue? Instant page flip... No interest. Maybe it's just me, and that's ok.

Perhaps past PBS magazine cover shots have spoiled me to a degree, but I would rather see practically any other photo that was purposefully taken by a bowhunting archer because the scene was deemed worthy and/or had personal meaning to the photographer present in that time and space. Those are the kind of things that help me feel connected to the contributers of the magazine and the PBS.

I AM enjoying the remaining content, have read all the canidate profiles and am anxious to injest the rest of the articles. I'm sure I'll have it all read by tomorrow evening. Good stuff.

Jeff I hear what you are saying on the cover, but the issue is that Jack can't get folks to contribute images for use. The more images submitted the more they will have to choose from and the better they will be. They can only use what is sent to them.

Thanks Rob, you are right on -- same goes for stories, it's like squeezing a slightly green lemon - hard to get product!

Yes...so what happens to the dozens of excellent photographs submitted at each of the conventions for the photo contest? Why don't we make better use of all those photographs? Many seem cover-quality to me.

I finally received my magazine today here in AZ after the post office forwarded it. I want to complement everyone that wrote articles and stories. The content and pictures were really great. I believe this is one of the best issues in a long time. Thanks to all who contributed.

For some reason, I have not received (at least in my hands) the latest issue. Coulda been lost in the mail or thrown away by the lady of the house as has happened before. Anyway, is there a way I could get my hands on another issue? I'd really like to read it

Thanks

AJ
