Might be a way to get some traffic to the Regional pages.

For maximum exposure maybe the stories that follow a membership hunt should be posted on the campfire forum as well as the regional forum. We could keep the prehunt planning stages on the membership hunt forum. I know its more work but it would get our campfire forum going better as well as the regional stuff. In my mind campfires are for hunting stories as well as contemplation. I know its not exactly what you asked but just a suggestion.

I think they would get lost over there. If I'm counting right there are 9 separate regional forums. I know I wouldn't check each one individually and would likely not even know about a hunt I might otherwise have interest in. Even having all membership hunts listed in one forum I think already means many people miss knowing about them. My guess is that most people check the Cyber Campfire regularly and that's about it.

I agree with Bill - at least the hunt reports should be on the Campfire.

I am kind of along the same mindset as Bill. Maybe have active membership hunts pinned to the top of the Cyber Campfire as they are active and happening, then when they kind of die down move them back to te membership hunt forum. I think that the Cyber Campfire gets most of the traffic, this would expose these hunts to everyone and certainly get them more traffic.

I agree with latest comments: maybe during each member hunt and immediately afterwards, have them highlighted at Cyber Campfire. Then soon afterwards, maybe clean them up and move over to Member Hunting Adventures. We had a number of good hunting adventues in 2014 that need to be cleaned up and moved there.

When I originally set the forums up several years ago my thought was we'd preserve the hunting tales under "Member Hunts" not to be confused with Membership (group) Hunts. Jeff, are you suggesting to move individual's hunting tales to the Region they occurred? If that is where "there" is then I hadn't thought of or considered that idea.

I also fear too many splits and good stuff getting lost in the regional forums. Hmmmm?

No Steve, I am thinking the individual hunting tales, such as this one...

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2517

or this one...

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2449

can be moved to Member Hunting Tale area, either as is or with the the comments scrubbed out. Maybe even sort them by year? I can think of at least a dozen such hunts in 2014 that should be remembered instead of being lost in the hundreds of CyberCampfire threads.

I used to do this when I was previously an Admin., thinking leave them on the campfire while on the first page, then move them.
