Gifts, wrapping paper, pretty packages with colorful bows. It feels great to give things to our loved ones. And it's fun to open a couple of packages too. And I hope Santa treats you right.

But the gift I was hoping for recently came from the almighty above. My last cancer test result showed no increase in value from the one six weeks before. Finally, after surgery nine months ago, after test results doubling test after test, some sign of stability! Finally, the cancer clinical trial I am under seems to be showing results.

Your good health is the greatest gift of all. Enjoy every day with loved ones for the great gift that it is. Say a short thank you to the man above every day for what you have. Let's all remember the reason for the season, and the many gifts that surround you every single day. Merry Christmas guys.

So what are you hoping for this Christmas?

Great news Mike! You can be sure many have been praying for you, brother.

My Christmas wish wish is for my uncle CB. A retired Marine Major. CB has suffered a lot of loss. His beloved wife, my mom's sister, and his only daughter were taken before their time by cancer. He remarried a girl he knew from his youth and she recently suffered a stroke and things don't look good for her. CB also takes care of his sister who is suffering from Alzheimer's. He is in his early 90's. A stronger man I have never known. He spoke at my dad's funeral of how he misses his friend. I wish for comfort and peace for this giant of a man. I know his faith in God has helped him be strong. May God bless him.

Awesome news Mike.

As for me, I'm hoping for a dictionary to make my writings a little more readable.

Mike, great news!

Bobby, your uncle CB sounds like a great man...part of a great generation. My Dad also outlived most of his loved ones and peers. We never know what we'll get dealt in life, but we always should be grateful for good times and good health...while we have them!

Glad to hear it Mike! Health and family are all that is needed to make a man wealthy. It's kind of hard to remember that sometimes, but the older I get the more obvious it is.

Hope everyone got to spend some quality time with their loved ones this holiday season.

That is really great news, Mike!

As for me, I got what I wanted for Christmas ... For my family to be healthy and happy and some time in the woods for myself.
