For Bowhunting. Besides the usual Bow, Quiver, Arrows. Weird or Unique.

I made this reel bracket out of 3/4" aluminum flat stock available in any hardware store for a "A" mag Riser. When I lived in Wisconsin near the Mississippi River I did a lot of Bowfishing. (I still miss it!)

Its all bent in a vise and just bolted together. I added a couple spring steel arrow clips.
It worked great!

I made the osage selfbow, horn nocked arrows, damascus tradepoints, and beaver/bear paw quiver in this photo. I finished sewing the quiver on a layover in the Seattle airport, lol.

I took these movie clips:

And these photos from 500-1500 yards with my home made digiscope system with a small Nikon point and shoot camera and my spotting scope.

All you need is an adapter you screw into the tripod socket and some pvc pipe:

One thing I learned is to use a camera that has a remote shutter release. You can't take a shot by hand with it attached to the spotter. Shaky and blurry. So without a remote trigger or Bluetooth you have to use the self timer. That is an exercise in frustration!

I have a new system using my iPhone I hope to try out on the AZ member hunt and will report back, although it is not home made.

I love hunting birds with my longbow, and wanted a better way to practice, so I made this target thrower from a bunch of scrap that I had laying around in my shop.

Here is my son, Nick having fun by throwing footballs at the flying target while I tried it out.

I was pleased with how well it performed that I took it to the Michigan Longbow Spring Shoot, and it was an instant hit with everyone there. This little guy (not so little anymore) was consistently nailing the disks.

Bow quiver. Cut down an old plastic container (had to fight with my wife to get it)
Add some Velcro and rubber. I purchase the arrow snap in section somewhere. Bend a thin strip of metal to hold it together and....here it is? The duck tape is there because it is about 20 years old and needs some help.
By the way, Galen Wertz got me started on this project.

I had a good friend help me make this recurve. The design is based on the old Red Wing Hunter recurves. It is 62#@28" and I really like it the way it shoots for a first time project.

Also I make a few arrows...for others bows mostly. I split, ground, shaped and dyed these.
