Mr. VP, you are usually way ahead of the curve, but this time you are so far behind I can only chuckle...

You are assuming Mr. Councilman that I am a "linear thinker" and you should know better by now!

(I will whisper to you on the side)

What's a buffalo steak without some dessert? I'll toss in either chocolate chip cookies or a dutch oven dish (depending on how much availability I have at the gathering) if the winner is at the PBS Odd Year in Wisconsin.

WOW Russell. That just goes to show the value of a great piece of meat and Dutch Oven desserts.

laughing... EXACTLY! It's cheaper than a moose hunt.

On a more serious note... I've said this before. I'll say it again. I love you guys. I'm PROUD to be a small part of this group. It's just a small way to help pass on our love of this sport to a newer generation.

Anyway, there are some guys out there that are just going to see this as a challenge and out bid me.

Thanks for the fantastic support and high bidding so far.

Well, with a little over 24 hours to go, it looks like Russell has stifled the competition!

Will there be a snipe at the end?!

One of a kind here fellas...

Home Office with a note it is for the Youth Hunt, or Pay Pal in the "PBS Store" here with a note in the "comments" section of your payment.

Thank you and all the other bidders and donors!

PM me your address and I will put a final coat of mineral oil on and get it packed up and shipped out.

Great job to all involved. PBS members' generosity is always amazing and refreshing to me. That will look great in the "bus", Russ!

Sorry I'm late to the post-auction party. We were baby-sitting for the 3-year old grandson... he doesn't allow for much computer time...

Thanks to everybody... I didn't intent to shut down the bidding fun. I really thought we get the bid up higher. Again Thanks to everyone.

I'll get a check off to Brenda tomorrow with a note identifying what its for.

Mike, I'll be sending you a PM shortly.

Just wanted to let you guys know the cutting board arrived without a hitch.

Mike: Thanks once more for making/donating board.
Steve: Thanks for paying it forward.

I'll readily admit that I won't be doing any carving with this board, but I will do meat prep and serving. Got a lot going on before I leave for the Spot & Stalk in Marfa, TX next week so I won't be putting it to use before then. But when I get back, I'll take a pic of it being put to use and post.

Thanks again.

Russell graciously declined the offer to ship the bison steaks I threw in on this offer. He thought they might be better used at the Odd Year gathering in WI this summer. Maybe we can generate some interest in having a meal prepared by me at that event. Would it be worth a separate thread to see if we can raise a few more dollars for PBS? Or I can just use them to prepare something for the pot luck (assuming they are having one?)

I would be game to get in on that Joe. I could do baked onions in the dutch oven or what ever would go good and pony up some cash for the PBS. Let me know what you would like to do.
