Good post Rob, Yes, durable mouth diaphram's - like the "Duel," and a few others are great - especially if they sound a bit different than the norm....and used with the right tube - such as one with a bulge or bell on the end to help give a "glunk" at the call ending. On external...

Excellent idea Kevin! My similar "concept" is using mules to go turkey hunting - in larger road closure areas. In fact, the cover of the latest Magazine (me on mule by stock-pond) is on one such hunt. Advantage: cover lots of miles, stop and tie-up when birds are heard, carry a few decoys ...

Hey Andy, Some good advice from Rob & Dennis. I have used Grizzly sticks on elk and smaller species in New Zealand. They certainly enhance penetration with their weight: (almost 800 grain with my set-up), which is always good. However, I now prefer slimmer options with carbon arrows and distinct...

Wow, good question. Looking back in time - 1984 to 1990, two streaks of 2 involving - 1 bull elk and 1 mule deer buck per streak....I guess, not very impressive! Now clean-miss-streaks would be a more impressive tally! As a western bowhunter we just don't get enough opportunities for "hot strea...
